Russian Makarov Serial Numbers

Here is some details Makarov Handgun Made in Russia by IMEZ = (made in Russia by a company Abbreviated IMEZ, Imported to the US by K.B.I. In Harrisburg, PA) IJ70-18A = (its a commercial Makarov, chambered in 9x18 makarov, standard capacity) Serial Numbr = A CP 0653 Import Serial number. Bulgarian (Circle 10) Makarov use a date code in the serial number that tells what year it was made. Simple program in vb6.0. Add the first two number after the. I did pick up a Russian sneak Bulgarian though last year and my dad bought a commercial Bulgarian Arsenal off the CGN marketplace. I think I'm up to 8-9 Makarovs now.
I happened to purchase a Russian commercial Makarov 380acp today and I am interested in the original question and have a couple more. I picked it up for $199 OTD (1 mag no box or papers) and really did not know much about Makarovs till this past week. From my research I see a lot of comments that the commercial russians are not as sought after because of the adjustable sights and they tend to have a poorer fit and finish. Is that the only reason. Does accuracy and function seem to be just as good with these as the others? (Mike I know you said they function good but do they tend to functions as good as the others) My finish was actually very good. I would say 90-95% and a very good blue on it.
Couple of other question.
It is a B West imported IJ-70 with a serial number of B AC 8737. Where could I find info on when this was made and when it was imported?
The extractor and some of the internals seem to be a rust like 'purple' color. Doesn't really seem to be rust. Is this normal? What causes this?
The trigger can be pulled SLIGHTLY when it is on safe. the hammer moves along with it. It is not close to fully engaging, but it does move the hammer a little with the saftey up. Is this normal?
Thanks and sorry if I am contributing to an old thread but I just happen to get this gun today and saw this thread

Hi, I have been a huge Makarov fan for quite some time. I bought one today in Wexford, I can not figure out how old it is. Here is some details
Makarov Handgun
Made in Russia by IMEZ = (made in Russia by a company Abbreviated IMEZ, Imported to the US by K.B.I. in Harrisburg, PA)
IJ70-18A = (its a commercial Makarov, chambered in 9x18 makarov, standard capacity)
Serial Numbr = A CP 0653
Import Serial number = H609427
3 import marks = A horseshoe looking mark with a P in it, A circle with an arrow pointing up, and a Circle with a mark that looks like a 'n'
I can not for the life of me figure out how old it is.
I know this is not a genuine Russian Makarov, that is beyond the point. someone please help me figure out how old this is.
